As the electric vehicle (EV) industry rapidly scales, the demand for fast, field-ready diagnostics tools continues to grow. In response, ODOSOLUTIONS AB (ODOS), a leader in rugged, cloud-connected datalogging technologies, launched the compact Minilog gateway – a plug-and-play CAN solution that is already helping distributed EV fleets and engineering teams gain real-time system visibility across global deployments.
Minilog is a fully integrated CAN gateway built for rapid deployment, supporting remote diagnostics and live system monitoring in both stationary and mobile applications. Engineered for tough environments, this IP67-rated unit enables fast, reliable installation across industrial, construction, and agricultural settings—where rugged performance and ease of use are essential.
It is specifically designed for off-highway fleets, motorbike manufacturers and R&D teams needing robust, real-time diagnostics during testing and validation.
“The Minilog gives our customers the ability to monitor and manage fleet systems in real time, from anywhere in the world,” comments Joachim Englund, CTO at ODOS. “It’s a compact, rugged and reliable gateway that enables deep diagnostics with minimal effort – ideal for distributed teams working on remote vehicle or machine durability testing.”
Equipped with built-in 4G LTE connectivity, GPS, internal antennas, and a robust UPS, the Minilog supports continuous operation and secure data capture – even during power and cellular outages.
The unit is designed for fast, external installation, making it well-suited for pre-pilot testing and engineering trials where rapid deployment and immediate data access are critical.
By streaming live Classical CAN data to ODOS’s CloudSoft platform, users gain immediate access to diagnostic insights, remote configuration tools, and centralised data visualisation – all without needing physical access to the vehicle or machine.

Minilog is already proving valuable across distributed development teams working on EVs, battery and energy systems, and zero-emission drivetrains. Its plug-and-play nature allows for quick scale-up across fleets or test platforms, while its cloud-native integration supports remote collaboration and data sharing.
With the addition of Minilog, ODOS now offers a complete datalogging portfolio – alongside the Microlog, Decalog, Petalog, Zetalog and Megalog – providing customers with flexible, fit-for-purpose solutions to meet a wide range of CAN-based diagnostic and monitoring needs.
